Pā o te Hā Wha cushion-Print on Cotton with genuine leather-Maroon
Pa o te ha means 'meeting of the life essence'. The pattern was inspired by a combination of kowhaiwhai (Maori painted ornamentation) and Norse and Celtic knotwork designs and represents the coalescence of my daughters Maori and Pakeha ancestry.
Collaboration by Mother and daughter (Ngati Toarangatira, Ngati Raukawa, Ngapuhi)
Original artwork is printed onto fabric using colourfast pigments and has been made into these unique, original cushions.
